Service Description

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a standardized course designed to teach healthcare providers, other professionals and laypeople the essential skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and airway obstruction. The BLS course focuses on high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), following the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association (AHA) or similar recognized organizations. Key Components of a BLS Class: 1. Recognition of Cardiac Arrest - Identifying unresponsiveness, abnormal breathing (agonal gasps), and absence of a pulse. 2. High-Quality CPR Techniques - Proper chest compression depth, rate, and recoil. - Importance of minimizing interruptions. - One-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants. 3. Use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) - How to operate an AED and deliver a shock - Safety considerations 4. Rescue Breathing - Delivering effective breaths with a barrier device - Use of bag-mask ventilation in a team setting 5. Relief of Choking - Adult, child, and infant choking protocols - Back blows, abdominal thrusts, and chest thrusts 6. Team Dynamics (for Healthcare Provider Courses) - Effective communication and coordinating during resuscitation Who should take a BLS Class: - Healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, dentists) - Medical and nursing - Hospital management or clinical staff - First responders - Non-medical personnel in high-risk environments (e.g., fitness trainers, lifeguards) - Laypeople with a strong interest in learning basic life saving techniques Certifications: - Upon successful completion of either class, participants receive a BLS or ACLS Provider certification card, valid for 2 years. - Certifications require passing both a skills test and a written exam.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation by Participant 7 days before class: Full refund or free rescheduling. 3 to 6 days before class: 50% refund. Less than 72 hours (3 days) before class: No refund. Rescheduling available with a $25 fee. No-shows: No refund or rescheduling. A new registration and payment are required. 2. Rescheduling Policy Rescheduling requests must be made 72 hours before the class (Based on future class scheduling). Rescheduling less than 72 hours before the class is subject to availability and a $25 fee. 3. Cancellation by Instructor/Organization If the class is cancelled due to instructor unavailability, or emergencies, participants will be offered: A full refund, or A free reschedule to another available session (Based on future class scheduling). 4. Refund Processing Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. 5. Substitutions A registered participant may not assign a substitute in their place. 🔔 Important Notes All refund and reschedule requests must be submitted in writing via email. Emergency exceptions may be considered with proper documentation.
